Events and Projects
We welcome volunteers work to energize the community by organizing events through out the year, including long time favorite Old Fashioned Christmas.
Envisioned projects include "First Friday" of the month events, public art, music events, bourbon tasting, and designating an outdoor refreshment area (DORA) that can be enjoyed during events.

As part of Lorain County Pride Day, join us for the 2024 Spring Cleanup on Main Street!
Saturday, May 18, 2024 from
9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
Meet at Village Hall, Main Street.
🌼What's Happening? Volunteers are invited to roll up their sleeves and help revitalize our beloved Main Street. Let's ensure it shines its brightest for the upcoming spring season! Here is how you can make a difference:
1. Tidy up Green Spaces: Pull weeds and spruce up green areas along Main Street. Help spread mulch.
2. Clear Away Debris: Don your gloves and pick up trash and any debris wherever you find it!
3. Plant Vibrant Flowers: Add color to our community hub by planting beautiful flowers and adding any planters that you can to your business and residential facades!
🌼Why Participate?
- Community Pride: Be part of a positive change and take pride in beautifying our village.
- Meet Fellow Volunteers: Connect with like-minded individuals who care about our community.
- Enjoy the Outdoors: Spend a rewarding morning outdoors, making a tangible impact.
🌼How to Get Involved: Simply show up at Village Hall on Saturday, May 18th, and we'll divide duties to get started. Let's come together and create a Main Street that everyone can enjoy!
🌼What to Bring:
- Gloves to protect your hands.
- Any of the usual yard hand tools you think would be helpful like a rake, broom, weed puller, or leaf blower.
- Wheelbarrows are useful and welcome if you can bring one.
- Positive Attitude: Bring your enthusiasm and community spirit!
- Friends and Family members, all are welcomed!

Get ready for a jolly good time in Grafton Village! You won't want to miss the Old-Fashioned Christmas celebration festivities!
Imagine stepping into a magical holiday wonderland right here in the Village! The place is gonna be lit up like a twinkling star with the most amazing tree lighting ceremony. And guess what? You'll be front and center to welcome Santa himself!
Local businesses will be in on the action, hosting special events and handing out yummy treats.
This celebration is for everyone! Bring Grandma, Uncle Joe, the kiddos, and all your friends to enjoy games, crafts, entertainment, good eats ... a sleigh-load of fun activities for all!
